Crash Boat Beach

Located on the west coast of Puerto Rico, Crash Boat Beach is considered one of the best and favorite beaches among locals and visitors alike! The beach features soft golden sand, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and stunning views of the surrounding coastline. The picturesque setting makes it an ideal spot for relaxation, sunbathing, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Visitors can engage in a variety of activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving to explore the vibrant marine life. The calm waters make it a wonderful place for families with children. It is also a great area to paddle board and kayak.

One of the distinctive features of Crash Boat Beach is its iconic pier. Originally used as a military dock, the pier now serves as a fishing spot and a platform for jumping into the water. If you are feeling adventurous, we recommend at least one leap off the pier into the refreshing ocean below! Don’t forget to look down before you jump…this area also attracts a lot of snorkelers due to the abundance of fish life around the pier pylons. If you care for a snorkel or scuba, you certainty won’t be disappointed…it’s like swimming through an aquarium!

Crash Boat Beach is also renowned for its stunning sunsets. As the day draws to a close, the sky is painted with vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for evening strolls along the shore.

Amenities: Most days, you can rent water sports gear as well as lounge chairs and umbrellas/tents. There are also kiosks parked right in front of the beach that offer local drink and food favorites! If you want more options and a nice sit down meal, be sure to check out Cocoloba’s Beach Bar & Grill (located on the opposite side of the parking lot, next to the staircase). Cocoloba’s may also be your best option for a bathroom break, as Crash Boat Beach does not provide public restrooms at this time. There are open showers located right off the pier, close to the parking lot.
